    What do you put on the wood before you resin?

    • @MakeTechCreate
      @MakeTechCreate 5 дней назад

      @sakuraneko9972 that's just a thin sealing coat of clear resin. It prevents the colored resin I pour on top from "bleeding" into the wood.

    Would you recommend both products for a diode laser? And if so any knives (metals) it would work best with? I always feel bad for asking these types of questions, but I can’t seem to find a clear answer in my google search. Thanks! ❤

    • @MakeTechCreate
      @MakeTechCreate 8 дней назад

      Both products work great for diode lasers, I've used both with a 20W diode with good results. If you watch my WeCreat video, you can see me testing moly spray with it. I'd recommend getting a can of Moly for testing, since it's cheap and then use the laser marking spray for the final product. ruclips.net/user/shortsi26kWoYF400?si=7qd7A28dvN7WdXLb

    How deep can this laser engrave metal?

    • @MakeTechCreate
      @MakeTechCreate 14 дней назад

      @MegaIsok it's only 2 watt, so you can't go deep with it. You'll need a fiber laser for that. But, this definitely goes deep enough for a solid engraving that won't wear off.

    Nice video. I use the same bucket etc for my water. Lid on bucket is sealed but I get dirty or contaminated water in about 2 months. Is this normal andis ther anything I can add to the water to stop this?

    • @MakeTechCreate
      @MakeTechCreate 22 дня назад

      There's a few things you can do to prevent this. Fisrt, use only distilled water. Second, add a cap full of bleach every 6 months or so. That's what works for me. If you still have issues, switch to an antifreeze mixture.

    • @DwightStebner
      @DwightStebner 22 дня назад

      @@MakeTechCreate Yes I have only used distilled water.

    • @MakeTechCreate
      @MakeTechCreate 22 дня назад

      Ok, give it a good flush. Then, try adding the cap full of bleach. If that doesn't work, try using an RV antifreeze mixture.

    I wish there was a way to do the polygon framing with the original d1. I have the d1 10w and infrared. Too much of an investment to just try and ssve uo to switch to a newer model. Had to wait until after my brain surgery to really get started using it and the companies definitely evolved a lot since then 😂 Very beautiful though!
